Sanford Health in the United States is recruiting a Urology Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced nursing care for urologic conditions and to collaborate with urologists and the care team across the cancer center and surgical services.

The NP will take histories, perform exams, order tests, manage urinary tract issues, and provide pre/postoperative care, education, and documentation in EMR within a multidisciplinary setting. On-call coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s, postmaster’s, or doctorate from an accredited NP program.
• RN and NP licensure in each state of practice.
• DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state.
• National board certification as Family (NP-C) or FNP-BC.
• Privilege and credentialing processes as required.

Responsabilités

• Take detailed patient histories and focused physical exams for urologic conditions.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests (urinalysis, ultrasound, CT, cystoscopy, labs).
• Manage acute and chronic urologic issues and provide pre/postoperative care.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Perform minor procedures within scope (catheterization, bladder scans, dressing changes).
• Collaborate with urology, oncology, radiology, and other teams for comprehensive care.
• Document encounters and care plans in EMR; participate in education and quality initiatives.
• Provide on-call coverage outside regular hours.
