Job summary

Sanford Health in Marshfield, WI seeks a Urology Nurse Practitioner to deliver advanced nursing care for urologic conditions in collaboration with urologists and the healthcare team. You'll conduct detailed histories, order tests, manage perioperative care, and educate patients on treatment options and lifestyle changes.

The role requires RN and NP licensure across practicing states, DEA permit, and national NP certification, with on-call responsibilities included.

Qualifications

Master’s/post-master’s/doctorate in NP program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC.
RN and NP licensure in each state of practice.
DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.
State Controlled Substance License if required by state.
National board certification as a Family NP-C or FNP-BC.
Privileging and credentialing requirements supersede this description.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced nursing care for urologic conditions.
Collaborate with urologists and healthcare team for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
Conduct histories and physical exams focused on urologic issues.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and follow up accordingly.
Provide preoperative and postoperative care for urologic surgeries.
Educate patients on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and lifestyle changes.
Perform minor procedures within scope (e.g., catheterization, bladder scans).
Document encounters and care plans in EMR; participate in quality initiatives.
Respond to on-call coverage outside regular hours.
