Vail Health is seeking a Medical Assistant – Urology to support providers with patient care, maintain accurate records, and perform essential clinical tasks in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires venipuncture, injections, IV therapy, and strong knowledge of EHR systems. BLS certification and Colorado licensure are preferred, with a focus on HIPAA compliance and professional communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred.
• Ability to perform venipunctures, administer injections, and initiate intravenous therapy preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations.
• Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent licensure required by state of Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with patient care and examinations.
• Obtains, monitors, and records vital signs and patient history in EHR.
• Prepares patients for procedures and initiates IV therapy as needed.
• Maintains patient documentation and communicates plan of care with providers.
• Ensures exam room readiness, supplies, and equipment cleanliness.
