Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Vail Urgent Care in Vail, CO. This full-time role supports providers with patient care, records management, and administrative duties to ensure efficient patient flow.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of patient care experience, proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and IV therapy, plus knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations. Relocation housing options offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience with patient care and admin duties.
• Venipunctures, injections, and IV therapy preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, monitor, and record vital signs and patient history in the EHR.
• Field patient calls promptly and professionally.
• Assist providers and clinical staff with examinations and procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including venipunctures and injections.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the provider.
• Maintain documentation and communicate the planned care with providers.
