Job summary

Banner Health in Greeley, Colorado is seeking a Medical Assistant to support urology providers in a busy clinic. You will prepare patients, take vital signs, assist with exams, manage injections, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing, while coordinating care across schedules and referrals.

This role requires completion of an approved MA program, state certification, BLS, and strong computer and communication skills. On-site Monday to Friday, 8am start, with hire-on bonus for external candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA).
• BLS certification required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use medical software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam, records vital signs and chief complaints, and reports changes to clinicians.
• Assists providers with exams and minor in-office procedures; may perform phlebotomies and injections.
• Coordinates patient care including referrals, authorizations and scheduling; communicates test results.
• Maintains medical records, supports billing documentation, and ensures timely chart updates.
• Maintains a clean clinical environment and handles supplies, equipment, and sterilization as needed.
• Develops effective communication with patients, families, and external providers.
