Job summary

Banner Health in Greeley, Colorado is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and nursing staff in a busy clinic. You will prepare patients for exams, take vitals, document symptoms, and assist with minor procedures, while ensuring a smooth patient flow. Shift is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. with no weekends or Banner holidays. A $1,000 hire-on bonus is offered to external candidates.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge and completion of an approved medical assistant program.
Active Medical Assistant Certification is required and must meet Meaningful use requirements.
BlS certification is required and current.
Strong computer skills with medical software experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Prepares patient for exam by taking vital signs and documenting chief complaints.
Assists with exams and minor in-office procedures and takes measurements.
Coordinates pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.
Documents test results and communicates them to patients.
Provides clerical support and maintains medical records and billing information.
Maintains cleanliness and safety in the clinic and handles equipment appropriately.
