Job summary

The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Medical Assistant II for the Urology department, full-time days. You will assist physicians, manage patient flow, document vitals, review medical histories and maintain EMR accuracy.

Responsibilities include chart preparation, scheduling, pre-authorizations for medications and procedures, plus phlebotomy and EKG administration. Strong computer skills and BLS are required; travel to other offices may be needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent computer skills with Outlook, Excel, EMR and scheduling systems.
• Strong verbal and social skills for patient, physician and staff interactions.
• Willingness to travel to other physician offices as needed.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in examination and treatment of patients under physician direction.
• Maintains patient flow during clinic hours and updates health histories.
• Records vitals, reviews medications and updates medication lists in EMR.
• Prepares patient charts in EMR and manages test results and reports.
• Operates EKG and monitors; performs phlebotomy and related tasks.
• Maintains a safe, confidential environment and supports quality measures.
