Job summary

The Christ Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant II for the Urology clinic (MOB 441) in Cincinnati, OH. This full-time, day-shift role supports physicians, manages patient flow, and maintains accurate EMR records.

Responsibilities include chart preparation, vital signs, history reviews, medication management, and coordination of tests and referrals. MA certification preferred; 2–5 years experience recommended; BLS required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate Degree and/or Certified/Registered MA preferred.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or previous Medical Assisting experience required.
• 2 to 5 years MA or other relevant experience preferred; Practice in different care settings (eg. Primary care, Specialty, EMT, etc.).
• Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Excel, EMR and scheduling systems) required.
• Strong verbal and social skills to interact with patients, physicians, visitors, co-workers, and vendors.
• Willingness to travel to other physician offices as requested.
• Phlebotomy, EKGs, sutures removal, splinting, and related skills are highly preferred.
• Certified/Registered MA preferred. BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient flow during clinic hours and documents review of systems; records vital signs and updates medical history in EMR.
• Prepares patient charts for visits by scanning and reviewing tests and reports to ensure completeness.
• Refills medications and coordinates with patients, pharmacies, and insurers as needed.
• Operates EKG and other equipment and assists in phlebotomy and related procedures.
• Ensures a safe, confidential environment and adheres to regulatory requirements.
