Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or certificate of completion of Medical Assistant training program.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain within six months.
• Two years or more of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a large healthcare system.
• Demonstrated knowledge of patient care, environmental care functions, equipment/supply management, and cleaning/disinfecting.

Responsibilities

• Perform back-office medical assistant duties including equipment management, environmental care, and cleaning/disinfecting.
• Assist with vital screening, medication review, documentation for providers, and scheduling.
• Handle patient check-in, authorizations, accurate billing, and payment processing.
• Operate back-office medical assistant equipment such as uroflow, bladder scanner, and EKG.
