Job summary

Inova Health Urology at ICPH in Fairfax is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant 2 for a full-time, day-shift role from Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will support patient flow, vital signs, and exam preparation while assisting with procedures and administrative duties in a busy clinical setting.

We require a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of clinical practice, and BLS and CMA certifications at start.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; 1 year of clinical practice experience preferred.
• Certification as CMA and BLS required on start date.
• Experience with basic patient care and healthcare safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care including vital signs, patient flow, and exam prep.
• Assists with procedures, phlebotomy, and injections as needed for physicians/nurses.
• Handles clerical tasks: medical records, lab/x-ray reports, forms, and chart prep.
• Maintains clean exam rooms, restocks supplies, follows sterile techniques and safety rules.
