Responsibilities

• Greets patients and addresses patient needs with sensitivity.
• Records patient condition, chief complaint, vital signs, weight, medications, and social history.
• Records services and diagnoses for encounters, requisitions, and forms.
• Assists providers with examinations, procedures and treatments per protocol.
• Performs ancillary services (venipunctures, imaging, etc.) per protocols.
• Maintains medical records and test results.
• Coordinates care via calls, scheduling, refills, and prescriptions.
• Utilizes IDX, EMR and other systems per policies.
• Tracks tests, procedures and referrals per protocol.
• Administers medications as ordered (oral and IM).
• Determines eligibility and obtains authorization for services.
• Schedules tests and referrals; tracks referrals.
• Educates patients to promote wellness as directed.
