Job summary

Triple Crown Urology is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to assist physicians and RNs in caring for urology patients. You will perform lab procedures, handle specimen processing, document in OncoEMR, and prepare superbills to capture charges.

You’ll educate patients on medications and planned treatments, and interact with families in a caring, professional manner. The role may require travel to AON locations as needed and adherence to privacy and regulatory policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold an LPN license in the appropriate state.
• Experience in Urology in clinic or hospital setting.
• Current CPR and BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and RNs in the care of urology patients.
• Obtain lab samples.
• Perform laboratory procedures with accuracy per accrediting/regulatory standards.
• Send outside labs as dictated by patient insurance; maintain test and quality control logs.
• Document in OncoEMR; prepare superbill to charge for services.
• Educate patients and family about medications and planned treatments.
• Interact with patients and families in a caring, professional manner.
• Handle telephone triage and prioritize calls from patients and facilities.
