Job summary

United Medical Systems seeks a Urology Scrub Technician to support laser-assisted urology procedures in OR settings. You will prepare and position ureteroscopy/laser equipment, assist surgeons, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and inventory controls.

Qualified candidates have a 2-year degree and OR experience; scrub tech certification is preferred. Competitive benefits and full-time hours available across Goodyear facilities.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrub Tech or Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Prior OR experience and urology exposure strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year OR experience in a medical setting.
• Experience with Holmium Laser is a plus; knowledge of sterilization protocols beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures following Laser protocols and OR standards.
• Move and set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment before procedures.
• Assist Urologist during ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility 60 minutes before procedure start.
• Maintain treatment/billing logs per HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Review and inventory cystoscopy equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate with facilities on schedule, patient counts, and start times.
• Maintain contact with facilities for after-hours emergencies and equipment issues.
• Build relationships with physician partners and keep manuals up to date.
