Job summary

UnityPoint Health – Urology Clinic seeks a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care, exams, treatments and education. The CMA will assist physicians, room patients, document histories and vitals, and help manage follow-ups in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited CMA certification and Iowa state certification, with EPIC experience considered a plus. 40 hours/week, Mon–Fri, on-site at our Moline, IL location.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program.
• Valid CMA certification required (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, NCMA, NAHP, AAH, ARMA or NHCA).
• Experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures.
• Room patients, record histories, vital signs, and document in EHR.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per licensure.
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
