Iowa Digestive Disease Center is seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our Gastroenterology clinic team. You will support providers by rooming patients, collecting medical information, and assisting with pre- and post-procedure education.

The ideal candidate has CMA certification for Iowa, strong communication skills, and at least two years of clinical or GI experience. This full‑time role offers a stable weekday schedule and collaborative care with physicians and infusion

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active CMA certification for Iowa required.
• 2+ years clinical or gastroenterology experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.

Responsabilités

• Room patients, review medical history and current medications.
• Educate patients on diagnostic procedures and prep instructions.
• Assist with GI procedures and post-care education.
• Coordinate labs, imaging, or tests as ordered.
• Monitor vitals and document assessments in EMR.
• Triage patient concerns and collaborate with the team.
• Support with infusion procedures and workflow efficiency.
• Maintain infection control and clean exam/infusion rooms.
