AdventHealth is seeking a patient-focused Medical Assistant in Asheville, NC. The role provides full patient care during office visits, processes testing and results, and supports clinic operations with attention to safety and accuracy. Location is 1 Doctors Drive, Asheville, NC, with day shift hours.

The position requires knowledge of medical terminology, chronic disease management, and strong computer skills. Certifications listed are required. High school diploma or equivalent is needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of chronic disease management and patient advocacy.
• Ability to use internal resources and navigate systems.
• Experience with computers required.
• Education: High School Grad or Equiv.

Responsibilities

• Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake and documenting results.
• Monitors inventory and ensures functioning medical equipment.
• Assists with procedures and prepares patients and equipment for treatment.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees’ and patients’ information.
• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
