Job summary

AdventHealth in Asheville, NC is seeking a full-time clinical support teammate for day shifts. The role involves patient intake, documentation, and support of clinic operations, with emphasis on patient-centered care and confidentiality.

Starting pay rates from $19/hr and eligibility for sign-on and relocation bonuses up to $5,000. Location: 1 Doctors Drive, Asheville, NC; Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm; Travel to fulfill staffing needs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment and documents results in the practice system.
• Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and office safety procedures.
• Provides comprehensive care during office visits including intake, test results, screenings, labs, and medication administration.
• Keeps patient and staff information confidential and supports teamwork.
• Performs clinical intake per policy (history taking, vital signs, medication reconciliation).
• Assists with minor procedures and ensures accurate documentation at the time of service.
• Educates patients regarding tests, medications, and diet with clear instructions.

Job Description:

• Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests.

• Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system. Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies.

• Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps. Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' administrative and medical information.

• Supports staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and co-workers when necessary.

• Performs clinical intake according to policy and procedures, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.

• Assists with minor procedures associated with specialty and ensures accurate documentation at the time of service or results.

• Educates patients regarding tests, medications, and diet, providing clear and accurate instructions.
