Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Lakeway seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support doctors in the Urology Clinic. You will update records, administer medications, give injections, and record vital signs with precision.

You will maintain patient-focused service, prepare for exams, collect samples, and ensure accurate documentation while complying with safety and privacy standards in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
• Ability to document patient information accurately and securely.
• Understanding of patient rights and privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient examinations and treatments under physician guidance.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms; ensure supplies are stocked.
• Guide patients from waiting room and help them prepare for exams.
• Interview patients and update medical records; collect detailed information.
• Record vital signs and prepare patients for exams, tests, and X-rays.
• Perform tests including ECGs and collecting blood/urine samples.
• Administer routine medications and vaccinations; monitor for reactions.
• Change dressings and remove sutures when requested.
