UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas offers the Garry Weber APP Urology Fellowship – Surgical Track, a 12-month postgraduate program providing broad exposure to urology, including inpatient/outpatient care, first-assist training, and robotic procedures. Fellows gain mentorship, clinical autonomy, and participate in weekly conferences and CME activities.

The program starts in March 2027 with an annual salary of $95,000 and a comprehensive benefits package for APP Fellows.

Formación

• Graduate of an ARC-PA-accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NCCPA certification required for PA track.
• Eligible for or currently holding Texas PA license.
• Completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Education Program (for NP track).
• Texas NP and RN licensure (NP track).
• ACLS certification is required.
• RN First Assistant (RNFA) certification is preferred for certain tracks.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and manage patients across inpatient and outpatient Urology settings.
• Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care.
• Develop Urologic procedural skills.
• Gain first-assist experience in the operating room.
• Participate in robotic Urologic surgical cases.
• Work alongside Urology physicians, APPs, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Develop increasing clinical and surgical autonomy as the fellowship progresses.
• Participate in conferences, Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs, M&M Conferences, and other educational programming.
