Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a Urologist for the Physician Affiliate Group in Harlem, New York. Job description

We are adding a Urologist to the Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. The hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center and provides services for nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, more than 83,000 emergency room visits, and over 13,000 inpatient admissions annually.

Responsibilities
  • Laparoscopic and robotic surgical experience
  • Examining, diagnosing, and treating patient conditions and disorders of the genitourinary organs and tracts.
  • Documenting and reviewing patients' histories.
  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Using specialized equipment, such as X-rays, fluoroscopes, and catheters.
  • Performing abdominal, pelvic, or retroperitoneal surgeries when necessary.
  • Treating lower urinary tract dysfunctions.
  • Prescribing and administering antibiotics, antiseptics, or compresses to treat infections or injuries.
Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO)
  • Board certified/eligible Urologist who completed an ACGME urology residency
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of New York
  • New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA
Wages and Benefits
  • Annual Base Salary: $165,950* based on a 20-hour work week.
  • Estimated compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week: $55,520.
  • 401(k) employee contribution account (subject to IRS limits); employees are immediately vested in their contributions.
  • Medical malpractice coverage at no cost to the employee.
  • Eligible for High Needs Specialty Loan Repayment Program (HNSLRP) for physicians meeting eligibility criteria.
