Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Urologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem.

NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem is a Level 1 Trauma Center that provides comprehensive health services to nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, more than 83,000 emergency room visits, and over 13,000 inpatient admissions annually.

The primary function is to provide comprehensive, compassionate quality care to the patients of Health and Hospitals/Harlem. Under the supervision of the Department Chairperson, the Staff Physician is an integral part of the medical team at the facility. They are expected to take a leading role in the delivery of health care services to patients in addition to being responsible for the supervision of the advanced practice practitioner staff.

Responsibilities

• Laparoscopic and robotic surgical experience
• Examining, diagnosing, and treating patient conditions and disorders of the genitourinary organs and tracts.
• Documenting and reviewing patients' histories.
• Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Using specialized equipment, such as X-rays, fluoroscopes, and catheters.
• Performing abdominal, pelvic, or retroperitoneal surgeries when necessary.
• Treating lower urinary tract dysfunctions.
• Prescribing and administering antibiotics, antiseptics, or compresses to treat infections or injuries.
