Qualifications

  • Must have laparoscopic and robotic surgical experience.
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) is required.
  • Must be board certified/eligible and have completed an ACGME urology residency.

Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Urologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. The hospital provides comprehensive, compassionate quality care to patients in the Urology department with emphasis on surgical experience and patient management.

Responsibilities
  • Laparoscopic and robotic surgical experience
  • Examining, diagnosing, and treating patient conditions and disorders of the genitourinary organs and tracts.
  • Documenting and reviewing patients' histories.
  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Using specialized equipment, such as X-rays, fluoroscopes, and catheters.
  • Performing abdominal, pelvic, or retroperitoneal surgeries when necessary.
  • Treating lower urinary tract dysfunctions.
  • Prescribing and administering antibiotics, antiseptics, or compresses to treat infections or injuries.
Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO)
  • Board certified/eligible urologist who has completed an ACGME urology residency.
  • Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of New York.
  • New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA.
Compensation and Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $165,950 (based on a 20‑hour work week). The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $221,470, which includes the baseline salary and other factors as set forth below.

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week: $55,520.
  • 401(k) account for employee contribution (subject to IRS limits). Employees are immediately vested in their contributions.
  • Medical malpractice coverage (occurrence‑based) provided at no cost to the employee.
  • Position eligible for the High Needs Specialty Loan Repayment Program (HNSLRP) for physicians meeting eligibility criteria.
