UHP's clinical program covers urology, gastroenterology, and radiation oncology, offering ancillary services like pathology labs, in-office dispensing, and chronic care management. Led by an accomplished management team, UHP provides comprehensive management services to its affiliated practices. Currently, UHP is affiliated with 154 providers, including 110 physicians and 44 advanced practice providers across 54 locations in California.

Position Summary

The Physician/Urologist provides urological care, including assessment, treatment, and care planning. The role involves following laws and regulations to ensure excellent patient relations and managing patients with urological disorders, performing procedures such as cystoscopy, transurethral surgeries, nephrectomy, vasectomy, and gender assignment surgeries. Effective communication with colleagues and patients is essential.

Responsibilities
  1. Diagnose or treat genitourinary diseases and disorders, including ED, infertility, incontinence, and cancers.
  2. Review and document patient histories.
  3. Order and interpret diagnostic tests like PSA screening.
  4. Perform abdominal, pelvic, or retroperitoneal surgeries.
  5. Examine patients using radiographic equipment.
  6. Treat urinary tract dysfunctions with appropriate equipment.
  7. Prescribe or administer medications for infection or injury.
  8. Provide urology consultations to healthcare professionals.
  9. Utilize alternative treatments such as shock wave lithotripsy, laparoscopy, and laser techniques.
Qualifications
  • Current DEA License
  • Board-certified or eligible in Urology
  • Current California Physician License
  • Completed a urology residency
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
