Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration's Phoenix VA Health Care System seeks an experienced Urologic Staff Surgeon to provide outpatient and inpatient care, diagnose and treat urologic disorders, and supervise residents.

This role features a Monday–Friday schedule with opportunities for teaching and on‑call duties. VA benefits include comprehensive total rewards, loan repayment options, and a collaborative surgical care team.

Qualifications

• Must be a United States citizen
• MD or equivalent in allopathic/osteopathic medicine
• Full/unrestricted medical license in US
• Residency training completed in core specialty
• Eligible for board certification
• Resident physicians may be considered as PRPs under conditions
• Proficiency in spoken and written English

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat medical and surgical disorders of the urinary tract
• Perform wide range of urologic surgical procedures
• Supervise residents and medical students
• Participate in on-call night coverage and emergency surgeries
• Complete documentation and patient education
• Collaborate with surgical care team at VA Phoenix
