Job summary

MultiCare Cancer Institute in Washington seeks a Urologic Oncology Surgeon to join an established group, with emphasis on complex urologic cancers and robotic-assisted procedures.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care and participate in tumor boards, clinical trials, and ongoing professional development within a leading cancer program.

Qualifications

• Board certified/eligible in Urology at time of employment.
• Successful completion of a Urology residency program.
• Fellowship accredited by the Society of Urologic Oncology.
• Current licensure in Washington State by time of employment.
• DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat disorders and cancers of the urinary tract and male reproductive system, including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular malignancies.
• Perform advanced procedures such as radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy, and cystectomy with minimally invasive/robotic techniques.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and lab results related to endocrine disorders.
• Develop and manage pre- and post-operative care plans.
• Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists and primary care providers for comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case reviews.

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Urologic Oncology Surgeon to join an established and expanding group practice in the beautiful state of Washington. Practicing within a Commission on Cancer (CoC)-accredited comprehensive cancer program, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized, evidence-based, and compassionate care for patients across all stages of urologic cancer.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat disorders and cancers of the urinary tract and male reproductive system, including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular malignancies.
• Perform advanced procedures such as radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy, and cystectomy, often utilizing minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques to enhance precision and recovery.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and lab results related to endocrine disorders.
• Develop and manage pre- and post-operative care plans.
• Work closely with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and primary care providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case reviews.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Ensure adherence to surgical safety protocols and institutional policies.
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, risks, and recovery expectations.
• Stay current with advancements in urological oncology through continuing education.
• Mentor residents, fellows, or junior staff as applicable.
• Participate in clinical trials or research initiatives aimed at improving surgical outcomes and techniques (if applicable).
• Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements
