Job summary

MultiCare Health System's MultiCare Cancer Institute in Tacoma seeks a Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our experienced oncology team. You will provide patient-centered cancer care, support treatment and survivorship planning, and collaborate with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and other specialists.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current ARNP certification and licensure in Washington State.
• DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides specialized oncology care for patients undergoing treatment.
• Assess and manage treatment-related symptoms.
• Coordinate care across disciplines and support survivorship planning.
• Work with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and other specialists.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Offer guidance on follow up care, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and quality initiatives.
• Document interactions and decisions in the EMR.
• Stay current with oncology guidelines and continuing education.

MultiCare Cancer Institute is seeking a Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Tacoma oncology team - a role built for those who value collaboration, stability, and purpose-driven work. In this full-time, weekday schedule, you will play a key role supporting cancer patients through treatment, symptom management, triage, coordination and ongoing continuity of care.

You’ll work alongside dedicated oncologists, infusion nurses, and supportive care partners - with access to >20 Hem/Onc providers across the MultiCare Cancer Institute network.

In This Role, You Will

• Provide comprehensive oncology care
• Manage follow-ups, symptom support, treatment tolerance & survivorship care
• Function alongside an attending oncologist with strong RN & clinic support
• See ~12-15 patients/day once fully onboarded
• Enjoy predictable 4x10s daytime hours
• Work in a shift-based model

Compensation Based on YOE:

• 0-4 Years YOE: $171,000.00
• 5-9 YOE: $176,400.00
• 10+ YOE: $181,800

• Document all patient interactions and clinical decisions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
