Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas invites applications for an advanced practice provider in urogynecology, outpatient. The role includes hospital-based care, patient histories, exams, ordering tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients and families. Mon–Fri, no weekends; requires NP/PA licensure in Texas and prescriptive authority.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or higher and Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area.
• ARC-PA accredited PA program for PA pathway.
• Prescriptive authority by Texas Board of Nursing or PA license required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hospital-based care with focus on patient throughput and care coordination.
• Take medical histories and perform exams, order and interpret tests, treat illnesses, and educate patients and families.
• Document comprehensive physical examinations and develop care plans based on age and diagnosis.
• Collaborate in research and apply evidence-based practices to patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
