Job summary

WestCare is seeking a staff member to collect and test urine specimens at the Miami-Dade County Court House. Responsibilities include meeting consumers, testing samples, and providing rapid test results to the court while maintaining confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of experience with alcohol/drug services preferred, and the ability to interact with judges and court personnel.

Qualifications

• Must hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• One year experience providing services to persons with alcohol and/or drug problems is preferred.
• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with judges and court personnel.
• Must have computer skills to document results in multiple databases.
• Ability to provide an Affidavit of Good Moral Character.
• Clearance in Pre-Employment Drug Testing and Criminal Records Checks, as required.
• CPR Certification, First Aid Certification and an annual Tuberculosis test.

• Complete necessary paperwork within the time specified by the department.
• Attend court hearings when subpoenaed.
• Provides coverage as residential program support as needed.
• Maintains safety and security of facility assigned.
• Communicates with Program Coordinator regarding regarding consumers leaving treatment, injuries, or major infractions of rules, including acts of violence and drug use.
• Provide input in clinical team meetings.
• Ensure that all consumers are adhering to established schedules.
