Job summary

The Michaels Organization in the United States seeks a Community Manager for the Urgent Response Team to travel to assigned multifamily communities, overseeing daily operations and ensuring properties are well-maintained and financially responsible until permanent management is restored.

Responsibilities include staffing, budgeting, leasing coordination, and resident relations, with safety training and compliance expected. Heavy travel is required across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of multifamily housing management experience.
• Direct supervision of staff preferred.
• Experience with tax credit, Section 8 or Public housing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff training, direction, and safety at the property.
• Coordinate hiring, evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Lead leasing and marketing collaboration to promote vacancies.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal rules.
• Prepare budgets, manage cash deposits, and financial reporting.
• Attend move-ins/outs and coordinate inspections with residents.
