You will follow approved protocols, route EMS resources, and provide protocol-based instructions while maintaining calm, accurate data entry and clear communication with responders and callers.

Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work rotating shifts, and adherence to medical oversight are essential in this role.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification may be required.
• EMD certification before appointment may be required by employer.

Responsabilidades

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and other medical emergencies
• Confirm the patient’s location, callback number, and access details
• Ask approved questions about the patient’s condition
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when included in the assignment
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responding personnel
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities
