County Emergency Communications is seeking Emergency Medical Dispatchers to handle urgent medical calls, collect critical data, and coordinate ambulance resources from a console environment in Ewing, NJ. You will follow approved protocols, confirm details with callers, and provide instruction while ensuring safety and accuracy throughout every step of the response.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with EMS dispatcher certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or sponsored training.
• Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification may be required or offered.
• CPR certification and additional coursework may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and other medical emergencies.
• Confirm patient location, callback number, and access details.
• Ask approved questions about patient condition.
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system.
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when assigned.
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications.
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responding personnel.
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities.
