Job summary

Bristol Hospital and Health Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiologic examinations, prepare rooms, and ensure equipment and supplies are ready. The incumbent will position patients, perform exposures, and maintain safety standards in a high-volume radiology setting.

Qualified candidates will have a two-year Radiologic Technology degree and at least six months of experience, plus CT radiology licensure requirements as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a two year accredited program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Six months experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Receives orders for designated radiologic examinations and prepares room; checks that equipment and supplies are on hand.
• Positions patients on table or standing/sitting; assists with transfers as needed.
• Performs exposures and adjusts equipment for proper centering and angles.
• Processes films using automated equipment and reviews quality for readability.
• Maintains radiation safety and minimizes patient dose; follows ALARA principles.
• Explains procedures to patients and provides reassurance; observes patient condition and notifies supervisor of concerns.
