UrgentVet, Inc in West Des Moines, IA is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our single-doctor, after-hours clinic. The role focuses on urgent cases and routine examinations with access to cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs.

This position offers swing/second shifts, strong team support, mentorship, and a comprehensive benefits package including CE, licensing fees, liability coverage, and PTO.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college or equivalent.
• Active license to practice in the relevant state (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the Des Moines community.
• Support staff development through internal LevelUp training.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments.

Description

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the West Des Moines, Iowa area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Skills Knowledge, and Expertise

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state in which candidate will be employed (or the ability to obtain a license in that state)
