Job summary

Memorial Health in Springfield is seeking dedicated healthcare professionals to join our Urgent Care team. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, you will assist in patient care and handle clerical tasks within the Urgent Care area, supporting the department's mission and values.

Education requirements include a GED or high school diploma, EMT or NREMT certification, CNA certification, and enrollment in nursing or premed programs; CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• GED or High School graduate.
• Illinois Department of Public Health EMT certification or National Registry EMT (NREMT) certification
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Enrollment in a nursing school program
• Enrollment in PreMed with Biology or Chemistry major
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Check, clean and stock rooms with supplies.
• Perform equipment checks and report malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean, organized and therapeutic environment.
• Utilize supplies cost-effectively.
• Demonstrate positive guest relations with patients and staff.
• Document appropriate tasks.
• Follow quality initiative directions.
• Attend mandatory in-services and complete training.
