Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Scribe Tech to document patient visits in the EMR and support physicians with basic care in a fast-paced urgent care setting in Lindenhurst, IL. The role emphasizes accurate charting and efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; degree a plus.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certification preferred; training provided.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate documentation of patient visits into the EMR in a timely manner.
• Assist the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Direct patient flow, inventory, and follow up on labs.
• Ensure DOH compliance of site lab and exam rooms; maintain logs and supplies.
• Provide compassionate patient service adhering to protocols and manage high patient volume without compromising quality.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and imaging facilities as needed.
