JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Urgent Care Mid-Shift. You will assess, plan, and deliver high-quality patient care across the urgent care setting, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include discharge planning, education, documentation, and adherence to EMTALA. Requires Texas RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC within specified timeframes; unit competency and crisis de-escalation training are expected.

Qualifications

  • Nursing Diploma from an Accredited Diploma Program or Associate or higher Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current licensure by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or proof of reciprocity within 90 days.
  • RN I/II/III/IV experience ranges: 6 months to 10+ years depending on level.
  • Current JPS recognized BLS and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • ACLS within 90 days of hire and maintained.
  • PALS or ENPC within 90 days of hire and maintained.
  • Unit-specific competency orientation within 90 days of employment.
  • Non-violent crisis de-escalation training within 90 days of hire.
  • EKG course within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, assesses, directs, implements and provides quality patient care for assigned patients, including discharge planning.
  • Monitors changes in patient condition; records symptoms and vital signs.
  • Performs data collection from patients and pertinent history.
  • Collaborates with patients to identify treatment goals and discharge plans.
  • Delivers nursing care including education tailored to patient needs.
  • Documents accurately in medical records and hospital systems.
  • Maintains infection control and patient safety; uses multidisciplinary team strategies.
  • Communicates hand-offs and coordinates care across departments.
  • Adheres to EMTALA-related patient transfer procedures when applicable.
  • Performs department-specific duties as assigned.
