Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department at Texas Health Alliance in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time mid-shift position (1pm–1am) requires critical care skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include delivering nursing care using the Nursing Process, patient assessment, planning, interventions, and evaluating outcomes. A BSN is preferred, with mandatory BCLS, ACLS, CPI, ENPC/TNCC/PALS certifications and 1

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
• CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
• RN - Current Registered Nurse required Upon Hire
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
• ENPC - Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire required
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months of hire required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire
• 1-year of Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• 2-3 years ER experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient; Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

Nursing Diploma

BSN preferred

CLIAFA foreign education equivalency (CLIAFE)

RN - Current Registered Nurse

BCLS within hire

ACLS within 90 days

CPI within 90 days
