Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our care team. You will apply nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while engaging patients and families across the continuum.

You will monitor patient conditions, collaborate with the care team, document accurately in the EHR, and adhere to safety standards and ethical guidelines. A BSN is preferred and active RN license; typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact or single-state privileges.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Ability to practice in the state(s) where the client is located (telehealth).

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, collaborates with the care team, and strives for optimal outcomes.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Follows ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making in patient care.
• May float to other units or facilities as needed.
