Job summary

Medical Edge in Juneau, AK is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a fast-paced Urgent Care team. You will perform triage, nursing assessments, IV therapies, and patient education while maintaining EMR documentation and infection control practices.

The ideal candidate has a valid Alaska RN license, at least 2 years of RN experience (1 year in urgent care/outpatient), and strong critical thinking skills. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• description: Graduate of accredited nursing program; active RN license in AK or another state; minimum 2 years RN experience; at least 1 year in urgent care/ambulatory settings; BLS certification preferred; strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient triage and comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies.
• Initiate and manage IV access and infusions.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
• Respond to urgent and emergent patient situations.
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
