Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for urgent care in Fort Wayne. You will perform full-scope radiographic exams, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with clinical staff to maintain high-quality imaging and efficient patient flow.

The role requires efficient imaging, adherence to ALARA, and strong communication with patients and providers in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or Limited-Scope Radiologic Technologist required.
• Experience in urgent care or outpatient settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs full-scope diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Verifies patient identity and exam details; explains procedures and provides clear instructions to ensure patient understanding and cooperation.
• Positions patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure and adhering to ALARA principles.
• Evaluates images for diagnostic quality, positioning accuracy, and completeness prior to submission for interpretation.
• Operates, maintains, and performs quality control checks on radiographic equipment to ensure proper function and safety compliance.
