Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Radiology Tech I for PRN shifts across Fort Wayne, Auburn, and Warsaw Surgery Center locations. You will obtain radiographic images, prioritize patient safety, and collaborate with healthcare teams to support efficient patient care.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure as applicable, and BCLS within 30 days of hire, with 0–1 years of clinical radiology experience.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of clinical radiologic technologist experience.
• ARRT certification required; state licensure required; BCLS within 30 days of hire.
• Strong knowledge of radiologic imaging techniques, patient positioning and radiation safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic procedures independently with diagnostic-quality images.
• Follow ALARA principles and Image Gently/Image Wisely programs to minimize exposure.
• Prepare patients, verify orders, identify patients with two identifiers, and explain procedures.
• Demonstrate population-appropriate competencies for patient demographics.
• Maintain imaging equipment and infection control protocols to ensure safety.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are organized for patient care.
• Enter documents into PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Communicate effectively with peers and physicians to support patient care delivery.
• Identify and mitigate artifacts to ensure image quality.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
