Job summary

University Hospitals Urgent Care in Ohio seeks an Urgent Care Physician dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. The role emphasizes efficient resource management, high patient satisfaction, and strong communication with patients and families.

The team operates in a fast-paced urgent care environment, requiring BLS, EMS familiarity, and credentialing readiness. The position reports to the Area Clinical Operations Director and emphasizes quality care, teamwork, and continuing

Qualifications

• Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice
• Current DEA registration
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
• Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management
• Deliver the highest standard of patient satisfaction
• Provide patient care within the clinical area and comply with policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate and complete records and documentation
• Ensure communication to facilitate patient care and reimbursement
• Participate in meetings to support urgent care operations
• Maintain certification in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS as required
• Report to the Area Clinical Operations Director
