Job summary

Qualifications

• Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and licensed to practice in the state.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed).
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and employees.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management.
• Adhere to the service and courtesy standard by delivering high patient satisfaction.
• Provide patient care within the clinical area complying with policies and bylaws.
• Serve as a resource for patient/family and staff.
• Document and maintain accurate records of services rendered.
• Complete necessary documentation and facilitate communication for patient care and reimbursement.
• Participate in meetings/activities to support urgent care operations.
• Maintain certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS) and any specialty trainings as required.
• Report to Area Clinical Operations Director.
