University Hospitals Urgent Care seeks talented, patient‑oriented Urgent Care Physicians dedicated to exceptional customer service by putting patients’ needs first.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible and licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice.
• Current DEA registration for controlled substances.
• Experience with suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience reading diagnostic studies including X-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (provided if needed).
• Meets credentialing requirements for WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management for patients of all ages.
• Deliver service and courtesy standards to maximize patient satisfaction.
• Provide patient care within the clinical area in line with policies and procedures.
• Serve as a resource for patients, families and staff; document services accurately.
• Complete necessary documentation to ensure reimbursement and care coordination.
• Participate in meetings and activities supporting urgent care operations.
• Engage in professional development and maintain required certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS) as needed.
