Job summary

Meritus Urgent Care – Valley Mall in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide timely, compassionate care at its urgent care location for patients of all ages with everyday illnesses and minor injuries. You will assess and treat a broad range of urgent care concerns, perform histories, exams, order tests, and develop treatment plans.

The role offers shift coverage including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current or eligible Maryland Physician Assistant licensure.
• National certification through the NCCPA.
• Experience caring for patients across the lifespan preferred.
• Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories and perform examinations.
• Order and interpret appropriate tests and labs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provide patient education and counseling.
• Determine when a higher level of care is needed.
