Meritus Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide timely, compassionate care at its Valley Mall urgent care location in Hagerstown, MD. You will treat patients of all ages with everyday illnesses and minor injuries in a setting designed to make care accessible when patients need it.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current or eligible Maryland Nurse Practitioner licensure.
• National board certification.
• Experience caring for patients across the lifespan preferred.
• Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with nonemergency illnesses and injuries, including rashes, respiratory symptoms, minor musculoskeletal injuries, and mild-to-moderate asthma.
• Obtain histories, perform examinations, order tests, develop treatment plans, provide patient education, and determine when a higher level of care is needed.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Maryland Nurse Practitioner licensure (current or eligible)

National board certification

Experience across lifespan preferred

Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine experience preferred
