• Southern Maryland Region (2 Waldorf locations, La Plata, Charlotte Hall, California)

MedStar Health Urgent Care is seeking experienced providers in emergency medicine, urgent care, or family medicine. Advanced Practice Providers work autonomously with supportive physician mentorship. Providers are assigned to a region but can set preferences for their top sites.

Responsibilities include managing acute walk-in urgent cases and performing minor procedures such as suturing, fracture care/splinting, I&Ds, interpreting EKGs, and wet reading X-rays (films read by radiologists). Facilities are equipped with on-site, low-complexity labs for point-of-care testing, full x-ray suites at most sites, and excellent support staff. The clinic operates 12 hours daily with varying shift lengths.

As part of the MedStar Health System, we aim to offer personalized community-based care and access to the latest medical advances. Providers have on-site access to pediatric, emergency medicine, and cardiology teleconsultants for support. Our network includes nine emergency departments, primary care, and specialists to ensure excellent continuity of care. Our referral management program facilitates quick access to primary and specialty care follow-up.

This position offers a hiring range of $224,640 - $291,200. In addition to salary, MedStar Health provides comprehensive healthcare benefits (medical, dental, vision) and other perks.
