WellNow Urgent Care in Freeport, IL is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our fast-paced clinic. In this role you’ll take patient histories, monitor vital signs, perform phlebotomy if certified, and support clinicians during exams and procedures.

Responsibilities include handling lab paperwork, operating EMR, coordinating records, and maintaining room readiness. Minimum 6 months PCT experience; EMT Basic or CMA/RMA preferred.

Formación

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role; or equivalent education/certification.
• Preferred experience in Urgent Care and/or Occupational Medicine; Phlebotomy experience a plus.
• Ability to register patients on the computer and use EMR systems; CPR certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs; assist providers with exams and testing.
• Perform phlebotomy for lab samples if certified; handle lab paperwork and EMR entries.
• Schedule/coordinate records for ancillary care; maintain exam rooms and supplies.
• Explain insurances accepted, greet patients, triage calls, and collect patient responsibility.
