Job summary

UNC Health Medical Group in North Carolina is seeking a part-time Urgent Care Physician Assistant to join multiple clinic locations. You will treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries while supporting occupational health services in a team-based setting.

The ideal candidate has PA program completion and acute/urgent care experience, sees patients 4 months and older, holds NC licensure or can obtain it, and demonstrates strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting preferred.
• Must see patients 4 months of age and older.
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting.
• DOT Certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide occupational health services and examinations.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain compliance with licensure and safety standards.
