Job summary

The Urgent Care, LLC in Greater New Orleans, LA, seeks an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive walk-in care across five locations. You will manage a broad case mix with meaningful clinical autonomy, supported by a supervising physician and a collaborative team.

You will perform urgent care procedures, read radiographs, order tests, and develop treatment plans for patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of PA/NP urgent care or primary care practice.
• Current BLS/CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Active DEA registration and LA prescriptive authority or ability to obtain.
• Proficiency in minor procedures and diagnostic interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across age groups with assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
• Order/interpret diagnostics including radiographs, EKGs and labs.
• Perform urgent care procedures: laceration repair, drainage, splinting, wound care.
• Prescribe medications and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Document encounters and maintain electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with supervising physician; rotate among five Greater New Orleans locations.
